BioThe rightmost of the stars that make up Orion's Belt, Mintaka is also the faintest, as seen from Earth. Of the brilliant blue O- and B-type spectral classifications, Mintaka is approximately 900 light years from Earth. At a distance of ten parsecs, it would shine more brightly than the planet Venus.
